Atami Yukimura (雪村熱海) is Cure Chilly, one of the main protagonists of Hantai Precure. Her fairy partners are named Firi and Snowli.
Appearance[]
Atami is of average height (shorter than Hina, but taller than Kuron), with short hair that falls to her shoulders. She wears a blue hat, and a tan argyle knit sweater with blue, black, and white decorations on it. She also wears black shorts and shoes with grey socks.
In school, she wears the Verone Academy uniform, wearing her jacket unbuttoned.

Personality[]
Atami is usually lazy and unmotivated, preferring to sit around and play video games. She is nonchalant and casual, insisting that Hina call her by her first name when they meet. Her lazy and careless nature tends to get on Hina's nerves, but Atami doesn't seem to mind. However, if she finds something she's passionate about, she can become over-excited and charge in head-first. Atami is an otaku, and loves watching anime and manga.
In contrast to her external lazy demeanor, Atami's family runs a tea house. When there, she proves that she can be elegant. Around her family, she is very formal and polite, surprising Hina who says that they never imagined her as being like that.

Cure Chilly is the name of Atami's cure form.
Her finisher is Freeze Flame, a powerful blast of both ice and fire. She has two less powerful variations of the attack, Scorching Flame (for Scorch) or Freezing Hail (for Freeze). Alongside Cure Eclipse, she can preform Opposite Attraction.
Etymology[]
Atami (熱海): Ata (熱) means to heat or warm up, referencing Cure Scorch's fire powers. Mi (海) means ocean, but Atami herself doesn't have anything to do with the ocean. Atami is also the name of a coastal town in Shizuoka.
Yukimura (雪村): Yuki (雪) means snow, alluding to Cure Freeze's ice powers. Mura (村) means village, and is a common component of Japanese surnames.
Seraphine "Sera": The name Seraphine has Hebrew origins. It means "burning fire", meant to reference flames in a similar manner to Atami.
Cure Chilly: Chilly was a title chosen by Atami because she thought it matched both of her Cure components; chilly as in "cold temperatures" (for Freeze) and chili as in the spicy dish (for Scorch). Scorch means to burn the surface of something with flame or heat, while Freeze means liquids being turned into ice or another solid as a result of extreme cold.
